IPO, TT & BH
19 & 20 May 2012
Judge: Kurt Wiehart
The Dobermann Club of the Cape hosted an IPO, TT and BH Open Show on 19 and 20 May 2012. It was very well attended with 21 entries in total. Overall 12 dogs
qualified.
TT (Tracking Trials)
A track is prepared for each dog who has to complete the track, indicating items that were placed on the track by the tracklayer. There are five grades, namely TT1, TT2,
TT3, TT4 and TT5.
The following dogs passed TT on the Saturday:
TT1
Akira Von Der Wolfsmacht (Mrs LA MacDonald) GSD, Score: 98
Imze Vom Haus Harrock (CN Birch) GSD, Score: 94
TT3
Gambo Stadt Der Rose, BH (MJ Botha) GSD, Score: 94
Trustdore Lady Zeda Of Kindlehaus (Ms G Weyers) Dobermann, Score: 81
Marikate Hunter (Dr GJ Knight) Dobermann, Score: 78
OB CH Bronte Of Membury (Mrs SJ Wills) GSD, Score: 70
IPO (Internationale Prüfungs-Ordnung)
IPO I, IPO II or IPO III is a working title awarded to dogs if they pass. IPO trials consist of three disciplines, namely tracking (Phase A), obedience (Phase B) and protection (Phase C).
The following dog passed IPO III:
Astra Vom Korbeltal (Mrs GE Burns) GSD, score of 284
Phase A: 93 Phase B: 94 Phase C: 97
BH (Begleithund)
It was the first time that we offered this Basic Working/Behaviour Test. The test consists of two parts, a test on the training field and a test in traffic. At the end of the trial no point score is given by the judge, only a rating of Passed or Failed.
The following dogs passed BH on the Sunday:
Von Hugg Amber (Mrs E Hugo) Rottweiler
Marikate Hunter (Dr GJ Knight) Dobermann
Akira Von Der Wolfsmacht (Mrs LA MacDonald) GSD
Imze Vom Haus Harrock (CN Birch) GSD
Aliya Von Der Wolfsmacht (Mrs GM Ryman) GSD
We thank Marie Knight for arranging this trial. Without her hard work and dedication to the sport this will not be possible. We also thank our sponsor, Royal Canin, for
the wonderful prizes they so generously donated. We hope this will become a regular event on the working calendar in the future. We care about and will always support the disciplines that emphasise the natural working and intelligence capabilities of the working breeds.
